Our client is seeking an intermediate accountant to join their growing team. Working closely with experienced accountants, you\'ll gain exposure to a broad range of taxation, compliance, business services and SMSF work while building a strong foundation for a long-term career. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional looking to expand their technical skills and work directly with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Your new role

• Preparation of financial statements and working papers
• Preparation of individual, company and trust tax returns
• BAS preparation and lodgement
• General ledger reviews and reconciliations
• Assisting with annual compliance obligations
• Supporting company and trust administration requirements
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Assisting with SMSF accounts, tax returns and compliance requirements
• Preparing audit work papers and supporting year-end SMSF processes
• Payroll processing and bookkeeping support for clients
• Bank reconciliations and transaction processing
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Accounting degree or equivalent qualification
• Previous public practice accounting experience is essential.
• Exposure to tax compliance and business services accounting
• Understanding of Australian taxation principles and BAS requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar
