Job Description

Description of the role:We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to directly support the Principal within one of our rapidly growing Business Advisory teams. In this client-facing role, you’llbe responsible for providing a range of accounting and advisory solutions.

What your day might look like:

• Advising clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Collaborating with partners to provide tailored client solutions, mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
• Preparation of BAS and IAS returns
• Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and associated entities
• Preparation of tax returns
• Tax planning
• Acting as point of contact for a range of clients across industries

Desired Skills and Experience

What makes you ‘just right’:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional services firm
• Completed CA program or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail
• An ambitious, engaging and positive communication style – both from a team and client perspective
• Demonstrated integrity with a professional outlook
• A team focused attitude with a confident and friendly personality
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve problems effectively
• Experience in managing a variety of tasks simultaneously despite changing priorities and requirements
• Experience with accounting software packages i.e. Xero, QuickBooks Online, Reckon & MYOB
