The Company
An education business with multiple sites around Melbourne valuing diversity and inclusion is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team. The organisation offers a value-driven environment with potential for permanency after the initial 3-6 month contract.
The Role
As Management Accountant you will be responsible for month-end reporting, financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance activities. You will play a key role in financial reporting, supporting audit processes, managing fixed assets, and providing insights through budget and variance reporting to help drive business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Month-end reporting including preparation of management accounts and P&L analysis
- Preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysis of budget-to-actuals and investigation of variances
- Fixed asset accounting, register maintenance and depreciation reporting
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and other ATO compliance requirements
- Assisting with external audit requests and year-end financial reporting processes
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Providing support across ad hoc finance projects and process improvement initiatives
Your Profile
- Management Accountant.
- CPA Qualified (Desirable).
- Strong stakeholder engagement.
