Our client is a leading provider of innovative technical solutions supporting the resources and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Account Manager to join their team.

About the Role

As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of customers across the resources sector. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with clients to understand their operational challenges and identify solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will play a key role in supporting existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the successful introduction of new products and services to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify opportunities to grow customer accounts through solution-based selling and strategic account planning.
  • Lead customer engagement initiatives to support product launches and business development activities.
  • Provide timely technical and commercial support, ensuring customer enquiries are resolved efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer objectives.
  • Monitor customer needs, market trends, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain accurate account records and sales activity reporting.

About You

You are a commercially minded relationship builder who enjoys working closely with customers and delivering exceptional service. You bring a proactive approach to account management and are confident engaging with stakeholders across operational and management levels.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in resources, mining, exploration, drilling, or related industries (Ideal for drillers or geos looking for a change).
  • Ability to build trust, manage stakeholders, and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems.
  • A willingness to travel to regional and remote customer sites as required.
