Our client is a growing international bank with an excellent reputation for delivering specialist financial solutions to a diverse range of clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the bank's credit risk framework, working on a range of analytical and modelling activities that help inform lending decisions, risk management and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Risk, Finance and the wider business, contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of credit risk methodologies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and enhance credit risk models and analytical tools.
  • Analyse credit portfolios and identify key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development of risk methodologies in line with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Monitor model and portfolio performance, producing analysis and recommendations where appropriate.
  • Prepare clear documentation, reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across Risk, Finance, Credit and the wider business.
  • Support model governance, validation and regulatory review processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Credit Risk function.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Degree inn mathematics, statistics, economics, finance or a related subject.
  • Previous experience within credit risk or credit analytics in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Experience working with credit risk models and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Python, R or SQL would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
