Unlike many residential builders, Format Homes has consciously structured the role so Site Managers aren't overloaded with excessive numbers of homes. Instead, you'll be given the time, support and trusted trade network needed to focus on what matters most delivering quality homes and providing an outstanding experience for your clients.

Rather than measuring success by the large number of homes a Site Manager can supervise, the business believes quality construction starts with realistic workloads, trusted trades and giving supervisors the time to do the job properly.

Here’s what that looks like at Format Homes:

• Supervise approximately 15 homes initially, with workloads structured to ensure adequate time on site and maintain quality outcomes;
• Visit approximately 3 to 5 sites each day, allowing meaningful time on site rather than simply driving from job to job;
• Build a variety of custom homes instead of repetitive project housing;
• Work alongside a loyal network of long standing, trusted subcontractors;
• Join an experienced construction team comprising yourself, two other Site Managers and a supportive Construction Manager;

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of residential builds from slab stage through to handover, ensuring quality, safety and client satisfaction throughout the build journey. You’ll coordinate trusted trades, monitor build quality, manage construction programs, ensure compliance with building regulations and WHS requirements, communicate professionally with clients throughout the build journey and oversee warranty and maintenance items following handover.

Projects are custom homes across metropolitan Adelaide, providing excellent variety while allowing you to build strong working relationships with both clients and subcontractors.

The role utilises ClickHome project management software and offers the support of an experienced construction team that genuinely collaborates and supports one another.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll hold a South Australian Residential Building Works Supervisor’s Licence and have experience supervising residential home construction.

You’ll take genuine pride in the homes you build, communicate well with clients and trades, remain organised under pressure and enjoy working collaboratively with those around you.

You will also bring:

• Strong understanding of residential building methods and construction sequencing;
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills;
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and suppliers effectively;
• Strong communication and relationship building skills;
• Commitment to quality workmanship, client satisfaction and safety.
