Social Media and Marketing Intern
Ask Arlo
Job Description
Social Media & Marketing Intern - Ask Arlo
Fixed-term (3 months, with option to extend) · London-based · Paid
About Ask Arlo
Vets didn't train for years to spend their days typing notes and chasing information. Ask Arlo is building the AI-native platform that takes admin and information off veterinary teams, so their time goes where it matters: the animal in front of them. We build in close partnership with practising vets, because the best veterinary tools are shaped by the people who use them.
We're close to our UK pilot. You'd be helping build that from zero, the most interesting moment a marketer ever gets.
The role
We're looking for a creative student or recent graduate to own our social and content presence in the run-up to launch. Not scheduling posts someone else wrote, actually shaping how a new company sounds to an entire profession, and building an audience that's warm before we ask them to buy.
You'll work directly with the founding team, learn how an early-stage company builds a brand from scratch, and leave with a portfolio of work you ran and metrics you moved.
Your first month, roughly
- Get inside the world of UK vets: what they read, follow, complain about, and share.
- Rebuild our LinkedIn presence, with a content calendar behind it.
- Ship a first content series that gets Ask Arlo in front of practice teams before launch.
What you'll do after that
- Run our social channels day to day, LinkedIn first, others as we grow.
- Write posts and articles and turn what we're building into stories worth reading.
- Create simple graphics and short video, and brief out anything bigger.
- Grow following and engagement across the UK veterinary community, and report on what's driving it.
- Drive launch campaigns, event promotion, and email as we go live.
Who we're looking for
- A current student or recent graduate with a clear eye for content and an appetite for marketing.
- Strong writing: clear, warm, human, and able to shift tone for a professional audience.
- Fluent in how the main social platforms actually work today, not just how to post on them.
- Self‑motivated and comfortable in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment where you set the pace.
- Organised enough to keep a content calendar moving without being chased.
- Hands‑on with content tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar) and comfortable reading basic analytics.
- The right to work in the UK.
- An interest in technology, AI, or health and veterinary tech.
- Prior social, content, or community experience, including personal projects and side accounts.
The details
London-based, three-month fixed term with an initial one-month probation, and occasional travel for events. We'll agree clear goals up front, and strong performers will have the option to continue part-time as we scale.
