Managing Director

We are partnering with one our clients to appoint a Managing Director to oversee a large and complex account within a financial services environment in Montreal. This role carries full accountability for the performance of the account, including client relationship management, profitability, service delivery, and team leadership. The successful candidate will operate as the senior leader on the account.

You will be responsible for project management, capital planning, & operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Full P and L ownership. Drive profitability through operational efficiencies, process improvement, and strategic planning.
• Lead capital planning initiatives and ensure alignment with client objectives
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior and executive level stakeholders
• Build and maintain long term client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust
• Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion of services
• Oversee all aspects of service delivery, ensuring contractual obligations and performance metrics are achieved
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, technology, and processes
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Lead, develop and mentor a team of 40 plus professionals across multiple functions
• Foster a high performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and development
• Oversee hiring, performance management, and succession planning
• Support and contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the account
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue new opportunities

Candidate profile:

• Ten plus years of experience leading large and complex business units or portfolios
• Proven track record of full P and L accountability and delivering financial results
• Strong background in facilities management, asset management, or corporate real estate environments
• Engineering background is preferred and a professional designation is considered an asset
• Experience within financial services or banking environments is highly desirable
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, particularly at the executive level
• Strong commercial acumen combined with operational depth
• Ability to translate technical and financial concepts into clear and actionable insights
• Comfortable operating in complex and evolving environments with a high degree of autonomy
