Business System Analyst

Responsibilities

• Lead business systems analysis for enterprise AML technology initiatives.
• Partner with AML Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, IAM, and Technology teams to gather and define business requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and Data Mapping documents.
• Collaborate with solution architects and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support implementation and enhancement of:
• AML Case Management
• Know Your Customer (KYC)
• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
• Sanctions Screening
• Transaction Monitoring
• Regulatory Reporting
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for regulatory changes.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to define future-state processes.
• Coordinate with QA teams during test planning and execution.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including test case preparation, defect tracking, and business sign-off.
• Support production deployments, hyper-care activities, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal governance standards.
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
• Provide ongoing production support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve business-critical issues.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AML/Financial Crime Compliance projects.
• Strong understanding of banking and financial services regulations.
• Experience working with enterprise AML platforms and financial crime applications.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
