The position

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the accounting, reporting, and financial administration for multiple legal entities.
  • Prepare and oversee annual financial closings and reporting processes.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and act as the primary contact during external audits.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through effective balance sheet reconciliations and robust internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by setting up, optimizing, and automating accounting and operational processes.
  • Take a leading role in the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, controls, and reporting tools.
  • Support compliance-related activities and ensure operational processes are effectively documented and maintained.
  • Organize and oversee payment processes, financial administration workflows, and planning activities.
  • Participate in board meetings, prepare supporting materials, and monitor follow-up actions and decision logs.
  • Assist the Managing Director in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, providing financial and operational support where required.
  • Provide financial insights and support to management, acting as a trusted business partner across the organization.
  • Maintain oversight across multiple entities while effectively managing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, connecting people and facilitating effective decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall business performance.

About you

Desired Profile

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (including Dutch HBO level in accounting), with 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial control. Proven track record in preparing statutory financial statements, managing multiple legal entities, and maintaining accurate financial records. Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and experience coordinating external audits are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a background in external audit (Senior Auditor level) or financial control. Experience in managing statutory reporting, overseeing multiple legal entities, and working in a complex accounting environment will be highly valued.

Offer

Employment Conditions

  • One-year contract with the intention of offering a permanent contract thereafter.
  • Employed on a full-time basis (40 hours per week).
