Description
We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to directly support the Principal within one of our rapidly growing Business Advisory teams. In this client-facing role, you’ll be responsible for providing a range of accounting and advisory solutions.
What your day might look like
- Advising clients on tax strategies and business growth opportunities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards.
- Collaborating with partners to provide tailored client solutions, mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge.
- Preparation of BAS and IAS returns.
- Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and associated entities.
- Preparation of tax returns.
- Tax planning.
- Acting as point of contact for a range of clients across industries.
Skills and Experiences
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional services firm.
- Completed CA program or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- An ambitious, engaging and positive communication style – both from a team and client perspective.
- Demonstrated integrity with a professional outlook.
- A team‑focused attitude with a confident and friendly personality.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve problems effectively.
- Experience in managing a variety of tasks simultaneously despite changing priorities and requirements.
- Experience with accounting software packages, i.e. Xero, QuickBooks Online, Reckon & MYOB.
