Production Engineer

About the Role

Production Engineer – applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to build, maintain, and scale complex infrastructure that powers hundreds of thousands of customer websites worldwide. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, security, and performance for a hybrid environment of virtual machines, containers, and serverless services across GCP and AWS.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Monitor, alert, investigate, and resolve production infrastructure challenges across public cloud environments, including GCP and AWS.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement scalable solutions to reduce toil and optimize code and operational tasks.
• Participate in incident response for critical issues, track alert trends, and assist with root‑cause analysis to drive structural improvements.
• Execute production changes and security requests, safely managing code deployments and patching pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to align technical solutions with roadmap priorities.

Qualifications

• 2‑4 years of software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering experience building and operating production‑ready configurations at internet scale.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, distributed microservices, and self‑healing systems with efficient resource and network utilization.
• Experience with containerized workloads using Kubernetes orchestration and Docker on public cloud providers.
• Proficiency in scripting.
• Programming languages: Python and Go (preferred).
• Solid knowledge of modern web serving stack and infrastructure automation tools (Linux, Nginx/Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ansible, Terraform).
• Hands‑on familiarity implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems such as Prometheus or EFK stacks.
• A forward‑thinking learner with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis capabilities and a team‑first mindset.
