Responsibilities
- Execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process for a focused scope, including forecasting, target development, financial reporting, modeling and decision support;
also execute datacollection and integrity checks. - Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment, ensuring full compliance with policies.
- Execute ad hoc analyses and projects at the request of the Senior Finance Manager or Director.
- Support projects to improve efficiencies, embracing a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a high‑performing finance team, investing in personal development and peer development.
- Provide strategic advice and collaborate with plant leadership to meet business and financial targets.
- Review and track plant KPIs weekly, comparing actual performance to standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and manage budgeting and forecasting, creating financial models, analyzing variances and providing insights.
- Prepare management reports to analyze budget‑to‑actual variance and track department spending.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, including streamlining processes, financial analysis and automation of reports.
- Lead month‑end closing process, ensure accruals are accurate and resolve complex journal entries independently.
- Perform costing for new initiatives, evaluating expenses for new products or equipment and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Prepare performance review deck for monthly operations review meetings.
- Partner with plant operations to ensure accurate costing assumptions and challenge the status quo.
- Communicate financial performance findings to Plant Leadership and senior leadership teams.
- Technical expertise in financial analysis and data collection/structuring.
- Business acumen and basic understanding of consumer packaged goods industry, local snacking market;
relevant experience in a regional or sizeable local business. - Leadership skills, including collaboration and communication within a larger finance team;
team player with a can‑do mentality. - Growth/digital mindset, ability to execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency.
- Integrity and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions, aligned with company values and external regulations.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Minimum 3–4 years of finance and manufacturing experience.
- Experience with SAP, Advanced Excel, and Power BI preferred.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills as a team player.
Full‑time (on‑site).
Salary and BenefitsThe expected base salary range for this position is $84,500 to $105,650 CAD. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for a highly competitive bonus program.
