Transport Admin

Location: Coventry
Salary: £29,929.90 per year
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (06:00-18:00 or 18:00-06:00)
Hours: Average 40.25 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join one of our clients based in Coventry.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy logistics operation, coordinating the movement of goods while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced environment and play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day transport function.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport routes and deliveries.
• Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor deliveries and vehicle movements, responding quickly to any delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate transport records, delivery documentation and reports.
• Ensure goods are transported in line with company procedures and relevant food safety requirements.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in improving transport efficiency and service performance.
• Provide excellent communication and support to drivers throughout their shifts.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Transport Coordinator, Transport Planner or in a similar logistics role.
• Experience within food distribution, FMCG, warehousing or temperature‑controlled logistics is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
