Location: Northfield, Birmingham

Job Title: SEN Teacher โ€“ KS2 Resource Base

Contract: Full-Time

Start Date: September 2026

Duration: Until at least October Half Term, with the potential for extension

Salary: Paid to scale

About the Role

Successful teacher will deliver tailored learning experiences to a class of 12 pupils within the school's Resource Base, working alongside two permanent Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional learning requirements
  • Working closely with support staff, parents and external agencies
  • Monitoring progress and adapting learning accordingly
  • Promoting pupil confidence, independence and wellbeing
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Be committed to delivering high-quality, personalised learning
  • Work effectively as part of a wider team
  • Be dedicated to improving outcomes for children with additional needs
