We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year until the end of Term 2, 2027.

Eligible appointments may commence at any time during this period and will be offered for vacancies that arise as they come.

East Kalgoorlie Primary School (EKPS) is located on the eastern fringe of Kalgoorlie‑Boulder in Williamstown and serves a diverse community. Approximately 94 % of the students identify as Aboriginal, and the school has an ICSEA of 648, reflecting a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

As a culturally responsive and evidence‑based school, EKPS values partnership with families, community, and stakeholders and seeks teachers who share the vision of fostering inclusive, high‑expectation learning environments.

The role

EKPS is inviting exceptional Primary Teachers to join our Teacher Pool for Pre‑Primary to Year 6. Applicants must be able to:

  • Deliver engaging, student‑centred learning that promotes academic success and wellbeing.
  • Plan and implement high‑impact literacy and numeracy programmes and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
  • Use assessment data to monitor progress, give targeted feedback and inform future planning.
  • Build respectful relationships with students, families, and colleagues and contribute to whole‑school improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively within phase teams and demonstrate a growth mindset in a dynamic, culturally responsive setting.

Eligibility

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current screening clearance number before starting
