Job Description
Responsibilities
- Organize accounting records, including registers, ledgers, journals, and individual account statements.
- Assess and reconcile financial operations; inspect source documents (invoices, expense vouchers) and post appropriate records.
- Monitor the timeliness of standard objectives, financial statements, and reports.
- Organize source documents, files, and other account-related data; manage routine registers and analyze data.
- Maintain end-of-year records and support budget preparation.
- Perform duties using spreadsheets, online databases, and accounting software.
- Provide assistance to departments and contribute to yearly planning.
- Supervise invoices and maintain an up-to-date contract-filing system; conduct audits.
- Prepare and organize journal entries, analyze account records, and reconcile monthly statements.
- Prepare a list of fixed assets for tax remittance and budget planning.
- Assist departments in organizing requests for various business units for customers and regulators.
- Analyze accounting systems, identify flaws, and suggest improvements.
- Reassess check requests and audit invoices for accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; accounting-related certificate courses preferred.
- Sufficient computer knowledge and strong mathematical ability; proficient with accounting software and related fundamentals.
- Strong interest in business and finance topics; excellent data application skills.
- Patience and adaptability in a diverse business environment.
- Solid understanding of general bookkeeping procedures; excellent knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and general ledgers.
- Excellent skills in using office equipment and software (spreadsheets, word processing) for error detection and correction.
