Responsibilities

• Deliver professional fitness, health and wellness services to gym members.
• Promote physical well-being through personalized training programmes, group exercise sessions, health assessments and rehabilitation support for members recovering from injury.
• Foster a safe, motivating and inclusive environment, ensuring optimal use of gym facilities and contributing to the overall wellness and productivity of members.

Education and Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification.
• Essential: Basic First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience

• Essential: 2-3 years' experience as a Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor.

Knowledge

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Comprehensive understanding of exercise science, anatomy and physiology.
• Understanding of injury prevention.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to gym and fitness environments.
• Familiarity with nutrition basics and wellness principles for holistic health improvement.
• Knowledge of customer service excellence, data confidentiality and record management requirements.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire individuals or groups.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to conduct fitness classes.
