Across our four specialist practices – Qualifications & Training, Recruitment & Supply, Professional Services, and SEND & Inclusion – we deliver services that empower the world of education.
Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role within our central Group Marketing team. As Head of Marketing Operations, you'll define and lead the strategy that underpins marketing performance across SEG's portfolio of brands. Working closely with our Chief Marketing Officer, Practice Heads of Marketing, Sales leaders and Technology teams, you'll build scalable operating models, develop best practice across the Group, and champion innovation – including the adoption of AI – to help our marketing teams perform at their very best. If you enjoy combining strategy, technology, data and commercial thinking to drive measurable business outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and deliver SEG's Marketing Operations strategy across multiple brands and business units.
- Own and evolve our MarTech roadmap, ensuring our technology supports future growth and operational excellence.
- Act as the strategic owner of HubSpot, leading platform direction across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub and Data Hub.
- Drive marketing automation, customer lifecycle management and lead management strategies to maximise commercial performance.
- Build robust reporting, attribution models and executive dashboards that provide clear insight into marketing performance and pipeline contribution.
- Establish governance frameworks, campaign standards and best practices that improve consistency and efficiency across the Group.
- Lead AI adoption within Marketing, identifying practical opportunities to improve productivity, insight and customer engagement.
- Partner closely with Sales Operations, Data, Product and Technology teams to deliver strategic growth initiatives.
- Manage key technology partners, vendor relationships and commercial negotiations, ensuring strong return on marketing technology investment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team, helping shape the future direction of Marketing Operations across SEG.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience leading Marketing Operations within a complex, multi‑brand organisation.
- Deep expertise in HubSpot and modern marketing technology platforms.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation, attribution, customer lifecycle management and campaign operations.
- Experience developing MarTech strategies, governance frameworks and scalable operating models.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful commercial insight.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders across the business.
- A commercial mindset focused on growth, efficiency and measurable outcomes.
- Experience leading technology transformation and driving organisational adoption.
- A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and delivering operational excellence.
