AI PMO Analyst
Mercer
Job Description
We are seeking an AI PMO Analyst to join Mercer. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting Oliver Wyman's new hub in Lisbon.
This is a hybrid position, with a requirement to work at least three days per week in the office.
Oliver Wyman is undertaking a multi-year, firmwide transformation to embed advanced digital, AI, and technology-enabled capabilities into how the firm operates and delivers value.
The AI PMO Analyst will help make this transformation visible, coordinated, and well governed. You will support the Enterprise AI Programme Management Office by maintaining accurate information on AI initiatives, coordinating updates from teams across the firm, supporting governance processes, and preparing clear reporting for leadership.
Through strong organisation, attention to detail, and thoughtful stakeholder coordination, you will help leaders understand progress, risks, dependencies, and adoption trends. Your work will support informed decision‑making and help the AI programme scale in a consistent and practical way.
We will count on you to:
- Maintain and continuously improve the central portfolio of AI initiatives, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Coordinate with initiative owners across functions and regions to gather updates, track progress, identify dependencies, and surface risks early.
- Manage the programme inbox, triaging enquiries, responding to routine requests, and escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Support governance processes by coordinating exception requests, maintaining decision logs, and ensuring requests are routed and tracked through to resolution.
- Prepare concise reports, dashboards, presentations, and leadership updates by synthesising information from multiple sources into clear, actionable insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, governance, and operational processes that help the AI programme scale effectively.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to improve personal productivity, streamline operational activities, and enhance programme reporting where appropriate.
What you need to have:
Operational Excellence – You take ownership of your work, manage competing priorities effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail.
Structured Thinking & Synthesis – You can bring together information from multiple sources, identify key themes, and communicate clear recommendations that support decision‑making.
Problem Solving & Judgement – You apply sound judgement when managing requests, balancing consistency with pragmatism, and recognising when escalation is appropriate.
Stakeholder Management – You build productive relationships across teams, communicate clearly, and maintain momentum even when coordinating without formal authority.
Digital & AI Curiosity – You have a strong interest in AI and emerging technologies and enjoy learning how new tools can improve ways of working.
What make you stand out?
- Experience supporting PMO, programme coordination, governance, or operational excellence initiatives.
- Exposure to enterprise AI, digital transformation, technology enablement, or innovation programmes.
- Experience preparing leadership reporting, dashboards, or executive presentations and confidence working across multiple stakeholders, priorities, and competing deadlines.
Why join our team:
- We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.
- We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have an impact on colleagues, clients and communities.
- Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well‑being.
