We are looking for a Transaction Screening Analyst
Main Tasks:
- Review and analyze transaction screening alerts generated by Fircosoft (Level 1 / A / B1).
- Investigate alerts related to payments, sanctioned countries, currencies, entities, and companies.
- Classify alerts according to their nature (technical false positive, false positive, or true match) in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Escalate true alerts to the relevant corporate/compliance teams for further investigation.
- Perform corrective actions for false alerts following standard operational guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of alerts, investigations, and related documentation.
- Prepare and provide regular reports regarding alert status, trends, and potential risks/issues.
- Ensure compliance with AML, sanctions, and internal transaction screening policies.
Main Skills & Requirements:
- Experience with Fircosoft transaction screening tool (Level 1 / A / B1 preferred).
- Knowledge of AML, sanctions screening, compliance, and financial crime prevention processes.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and assess alerts related to sanctioned countries, currencies, and entities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Immediate availability is mandatory.
- Based in Lisbon, with availability to travel to Porto for 2–3 weeks of initial training.
- English proficiency required.
- Previous experience in banking operations, compliance, or transaction screening is a plus.
