Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educator to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized educational interventions for children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs. The role involves  offline  educational sessions while collaborating with psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and parents to support each child's overall development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct educational and developmental assessments for children with special needs.
  • Identify learning strengths, challenges, and areas requiring intervention.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Conduct one-on-one and group special education sessions in offline settings.
  • Plan and deliver individualized learning programs based on each child's developmental needs.
  • Use specialized teaching strategies and adaptive learning materials.
  • Support the development of:

Language and communication skills

Cognitive skills

Social and emotional skills

Academic readiness

Behaviour regulation

  • Monitor student progress and revise intervention plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate assessment reports, progress notes, and documentation.
  • Guide parents and caregivers on home-based learning strategies and intervention techniques.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and pediatricians to ensure holistic child development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and team meetings.
  • Ensure ethical practice, maintain confidentiality, and follow organizational policies.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of special education principles and intervention strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.
  • Ability to conduct  offline special education sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong observation, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to create adaptive teaching materials and individualized learning activities.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education (B.Ed / M.Ed – Special Education or Intellectual Disability)

OR

  • Diploma in Special Education (Intellectual Disability or relevant specialization) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).


License Requirement

  • Valid RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) Registration is mandatory.


Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Special Educator.
  • Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
  • Fluency in Telugu is mandatory.
  • Good proficiency in English. Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
