Job Description

Our client, A leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a consultant who who can deliver the following responsibilities:

Health and Safety:

  • Knowledgeable on all the local health & safety regulations with some knowledge on state/provincial and country regulations
  • Knowledgeable on health and safety management system guidelines
  • Is able to explain why Health and safety management is essential
  • to employees complete physical and mental well being
  • Deploys H&S programs/structures in support of the corporate H&S vision

Manufacturing Management:

  • Drives Information system and defined process on a daily basis: ERP(SAP), MES (LDS, ITAC,PMS), and associated digital tools (SIM, Quality, Service Level)
  • Executes a daily manufacturing plan based resources allocation, working hours to match customer demand and due dates
  • Drives changes for Performance improvement based on the SPS principles
  • Respects rules defined for material replenishment in order to control WIP, ensure inventory accuracy and Service Level
  • Implements flow concepts (including MPH flows) and pull systems designed for MTS,MTO, CTO, ETO business
  • Contributes to training needs identification
  • Executes competency plan (Flexibility, Versatility, Core competencies

Manufacturing Supply Chain:

  • Understands the impact of variation in customer demand and the linkage to finished goods inventory and customer service level
  • Understands value stream maps and related basic concepts of order flow
  • Understands MPP concept
  • Knowledge of materials scheduling, Healthy production start (ETO)
  • Knowledge of plant order processing (Product and ETO)
  • Understands big order management process (planning and scheduling)

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Develops/improves standard operating routines based on Red Green analysis and utilizing Lean tools
  • Train team members on Red Green tracking and identifying improvements
  • Manage (SIM) Production Short Interval Management to respond to problems and prevent reoccurrence (Quality at the Source and ANDON)
  • Perform KPI gap analysis, prioritize actions and propose improvements
  • Contributes to administrative and physical process improvements and implementations to minimize waste
  • Manages process constraints (know and track)

Manufacturing Diagnostic:

  • Collects data relevant to diagnostic objectives
  • Participates in multi observation studies (MOS)
  • Identifies current and future state opportunities (identifies improvement levers)

Manufacturing Maintenance:

  • Develops safe work plans and is knowledgeable in plant emergency response procedures/duties required of the maintenance team
  • Interprets technical documents to complete maintenance tasks for responsible areas and equipment
  • Understands the needs and priorities of production departments and effectively coordinates with manufacturing management

Quality Control and Inspection:

  • Able to identify key process inputs and develop process audits
  • Able to identify and manage development (including GR&R) of routine gages and measurement equipment
  • Able to identify key characteristics during print reviews (parts/assemblies) and identify the needed quality tools to verify those characteristics
  • Able to assess most capability analyses and understand the needed capabilities to meet quality/customer needs
  • Able to develop and implement functional acceptance tests (FAT) based on customer requirements
  • Able to develop Quality Control Plans based on engineering, regulatory, and statutory requirements, where applicable
  • Able to develop sampling plans and procedures

Skills Required

Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end production operations and achieving targets for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.
  • Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing processes, including SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and THT (Through Hole Technology).
  • Strong exposure to mass production environments, with expertise in production planning, capacity planning, and cycle time analysis.
  • Experience leading large production teams, workforce planning, training, performance management, and resolving industrial relations (IR) issues.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, MES) and the ability to leverage digital tools for production monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Short Interval Management (SIM), root cause analysis, and process optimization.
  • Good knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices, ISO standards, quality systems, and regulatory compliance within manufacturing operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions.
