SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER EXPERT LEVAL

Role: SharePoint Developer

Location: Dublin 8 (D8)

Onsite: 2 days per week

Primary Focus: Modern SharePoint front-end development, UX, branding, and page design

Core Role Purpose

A SharePoint Developer responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing SharePoint Online environments with a strong emphasis on front-end development, modern page layouts, UX, and branding consistency. The role works closely with a dedicated SharePoint back‑end resource to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Key Focus Areas

• Modern SharePoint page layouts design
• Building visually appealing, responsive, and user‑friendly SharePoint Online pages
• Improving UX, navigation structure
• Streamlining user journeys, site architecture, and content discoverability
• Branding and visual consistency
• Implementing corporate branding, themes, and style guidelines across sites
• Collaboration with SharePoint back‑end resource
• Coordinating front‑end and back‑end development for seamless delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize SharePoint Online sites, pages, components, and UI elements.
• Maintain and support existing SharePoint environments, ensuring stability and performance.
• Implement solutions using SPFx, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring reliable data flow across multi-tier systems.
• Manage replication, mirroring, security configurations, compression, traffic analysis, and automation processes.
• Oversee storage, backup provisioning, and high‑availability readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues across web servers, networks, databases, storage systems, and load-balancing layers.
• Ensure adherence to branding, accessibility, and UX best practices.

Required Technical Skillsets

• Core Front-End SharePoint Skills
  • SharePoint Online experience (mandatory)
  • Strong UI/UX focus
  • Modern SharePoint page design SPFx
  • HTML / CSS / JavaScript (preferred)
  • Experience with responsive design, navigation structures, and branding frameworks
• Supporting Technical Skills
  • MS Visual Studio
  • SQL Server integration with SharePoint
  • Understanding of:
    • Replication mirroring
    • Security compliance
    • Compression traffic analysis
    • Automation provisioning
  • Experience with:
    • IIS / web servers
    • Network fundamentals
    • Database structures
    • Load balancing technologies
    • Systems Administration experience within SharePoint environments
