Senior Full Stack Engineer – React, Laravel & Cloud Platforms

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in digital ticketing platforms that connect millions of event-goers with unforgettable experiences. Responsibilities

• Develop and own features end-to-end across the platform, from React/TypeScript consumer experiences to Laravel/PHP backend services.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, data schemas, caching strategies, and performance tuning for high-traffic systems.
• Lead the design and maintenance of shared domain libraries including ticketing, payments, and authentication components used platform-wide.
• Implement critical functionalities such as payments, seat selection, cart management, and secure user authentication with rigorous testing and security practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, enhance system observability, and ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and Operations for sprint planning and feature delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications, with hands-on expertise in both frontend and backend development.
• Strong React + TypeScript skills, including server-state management and component architecture.
• Deep knowledge of PHP / Laravel, REST API design, and security.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Proficiency with Tailwind CSS, component libraries, and frontend state management best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end in scalable, high-traffic environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with monorepo management tools like Turborepo or Nx.
• Internationalization and RTL (Arabic) experience.
• Knowledge of payment systems, e-commerce checkout flows, and PCI compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
• Certifications or experience in large-scale system architecture.

Language

• Good command of English.

Eligibility

• Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in Europe will be considered for this role, as it requires Lisbon-based presence with hybrid flexibility.
