Business and Economics Teacher โ€“ Long-Term Supply Opportunity in Birmingham

Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Business and Economics Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Birmingham from September 2026 until February 2027 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students studying Business Studies and Economics across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Business Studies and Economics lessons across KS4 and KS5.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam board specifications.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive academically.
  • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and support students in achieving their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to a successful and forward-thinking department.
  • Encourage students to develop an understanding of business, finance and economic principles relevant to the modern world.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics in a UK secondary school or sixth form.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
