Full Stack Engineer, Internal Tools & Automation
Techunting
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a Β Full Stack Engineer, Internal Tools & Automation to join our Growth and Development team in a highly cross-functional role focused on systems, automation, AI enablement, and operational tooling.
This is not a traditional product engineering role. Weβre looking for a technical generalist β someone who enjoys building across the stack, solving business problems with software, and partnering directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Youβll work closely with Growth, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering to design and build internal systems, AI-powered workflows, automations, integrations, and lightweight applications that improve how the company operates and scales.
The ideal candidate is comfortable wearing multiple hats: engineer, systems thinker, automation builder, technical partner, and problem solver. One week you may be building an internal dashboard or integrating APIs; the next you may be prototyping AI workflows, improving operational processes, or helping teammates adopt new tooling.
You should be excited about using AI as a practical tool for productivity and innovation while still maintaining strong engineering fundamentals and ownership over the systems you build.
RESPONSIBILITIES
β Build and maintain internal tools, full stack apps, and automations that help Growth, Sales, Ops, and Marketing run and scale.
β Build and maintain integrations across internal systems, third-party platforms, CRMs, APIs, and data sources.
β Build internal data pipelines, dashboards, and operational reporting.
β Build AI-powered tooling and LLM-integrated workflows that improve productivity and decision-making.
β Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn operational needs into scalable solutions, including GTM workflows.
β Own projects end-to-end, from requirements and architecture through implementation and iteration.
β Work with Tech department on technical decisions and standards for maintainability and scalability.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
β 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in startup, growth-stage, or highly cross-functional environments..
β Have shipped and owned production software that others depend on.
β Strong full stack fundamentals: Python on the backend, JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework.
β Comfortable with APIs, integrations, and automation workflows.
β Relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL or similar).
β Cloud infrastructure and services (AWS preferred).
β Strong systems thinking and problem-solving; comfortable with ambiguity and operating autonomously.
β Collaborates directly with business stakeholders, translating operational needs into solutions and explaining technical concepts to non-technical folks.
β Genuine interest in AI/LLM tech, and comfortable using AI-assisted dev tools while owning implementation quality.
NICE TO HAVES
β Entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in business operations and how companies scale. A great fit for a builder with eventual founder ambitions: you'll get exposure across the whole business while owning the systems that run it.
β Experience with CRM or GTM systems such as HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
β Experience building workflow automations and operational tooling.
β Familiarity with AI APIs, prompt engineering, agents, or orchestration frameworks.
β Experience in adtech, martech, SaaS, or performance marketing environments.
β Understanding of go-to-market operations, sales workflows, or business systems architecture.
