Senior Business Analyst – Pension Protection Fund

At the Pension Protection Fund (PPF), we provide security in retirement for members of defined benefit pension schemes, compensating them when employers become insolvent. With over 30 billion pounds in assets under management and a team of 450 professionals, we deliver strategic change that supports the UK pension system.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex business analysis activity across cross‑functional projects and programmes, working closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and third‑party suppliers to understand priorities and translate business needs into structured requirements.
• Support solution design, testing, process improvement and benefits‑led delivery, ensuring outcomes are clearly understood and aligned to business objectives.
• Produce high‑quality written outputs for executive review and manage stakeholder engagement throughout the analysis lifecycle.
• Mentor and support junior Business Analysts to achieve successful delivery outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Substantial hands‑on experience operating at a senior Business Analyst level.
• Strong track record in requirements elicitation, process mapping, stakeholder engagement and producing executive‑ready documentation.
• Experience within the pensions industry is expected.
• Ability to facilitate workshops, influence senior stakeholders and navigate ambiguity in a complex organisation.
• Experience with delivery frameworks such as Agile and/or PRINCE2.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and proficiency with Excel and Power BI.
