Principal Business Analyst – Birmingham, England

Job Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements within the technology department.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and process workflows.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver technology‑driven projects on time and within scope.
• Act as a key liaison between business units and technology teams to ensure alignment.
• Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including business cases, user stories, and process maps.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose innovative solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong background in business analysis; advantageous to have sales, sales enablement or commercial project experience.
• Ability to lead a practice of BA and senior BAs.
• High levels of commercial acumen and understanding of sales functions.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.
• Proficiency in creating detailed technical documentation and process workflows.
• Results‑driven mindset focused on achieving business objectives.
• Enjoys a collaborative, in‑office approach with 4 days per week on site in Birmingham.
