As a Finance Data Analyst at Rapyd LATAM, you will design and build data-driven solutions that automate and transform our regional Finance and Billing processes. Based full‑time in our Bogotá office, you will leverage your expertise in Python, data engineering, and process automation to replace manual workflows, reduce reconciliation errors, and improve the reliability of financial data across multiple legal entities. This is a high‑impact role where your pipelines and dashboards will directly support the scalability of Rapyd’s finance operations throughout Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python applications, services, and automations to streamline Finance and Billing processes across Rapyd LATAM.
  • Design, manage, and optimize relational databases and data warehouse models, ensuring data quality, integrity, and scalability.
  • Write efficient SQL queries to support financial reporting, reconciliations, audits, and operational analysis.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, data models, and self‑service analytics in Tableau or Looker to provide real‑time business insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and production support.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen financial controls through technology.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including data models, integration specifications, process flows, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience developing applications or automations with Python.
  • Data Skills: Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) for data extraction and analysis.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git and software development best practices, including documentation and code versioning.
  • Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Languages: Fluent English (written and verbal).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Basic understanding of financial, billing, or accounting processes.
