Truck Driver

Location: Edmonton, AB, T5Y 2R9. Work location: On site.

Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Pay: $36.00 per hour, 40–50 hours per week. Employment type: Permanent, Full time.

Start date: As soon as possible. Vacancies: 2.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Experience an asset.
• Credentials: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
• Communication systems experience: CB radio, GPS navigation.
