Job Overview

Truck Driver – 30 hours per week, hourly wage $36.00. Permanent, full‑time position with frequent or constant travel on the road.

Employment Terms

Starts as soon as possible. Permanent employment, full time.

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Load and unload goods.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
• Conduct pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Qualifications

• Languages: English.
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: an asset.

Credentials

• Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
• Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses (if applicable).
