RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the growth of the FRAS practice.
  • Engage in the execution and delivery of complex accounting advisory projects, including facilitating training sessions and leading implementation work on new standards and/or transitioning to a new framework.
  • Provide complex accounting support to other engagement teams, acting as a sounding board or a "second set of eyes".
  • Build and maintain relationships with appropriate levels of client management.
  • Understand the client’s industry sector and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and new technical and industry developments.
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge across the firm and with clients.
  • Design and prepare deliverables tailored to client needs.
  • Build relationships that enable seamless collaboration with other service lines to provide the client with an exceptional experience.
  • Participate in national and local business development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Canadian CPA.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting.
  • Experience in external financial statement audits or US GAAP technical accounting at a public company.
  • Experience researching complex accounting issues under IFRS and proposing solutions; experience in other accounting frameworks is an asset.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas so they are easily understood by others.
  • Experience facilitating technical accounting training and/or other relevant training.
  • Impeccable client relationship skills.
  • Dedication to teamwork and leadership.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Profit sharing, flex days, RRSP contributions, firmwide holiday closure, wellness benefits, concierge-like benefits, and work-from-anywhere in Canada for 4 weeks in the summer.

Current salary range: $96,800–$133,100 in Mississauga.
