Position

Software Development Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software developers/analysts in the requirements, design, development, test, and deployment of large distributed systems using microservices-based architecture.
  • Engage and lead a globally distributed team, providing hands‑on management, mentoring, and coaching to drive annual goals.
  • Perform people‑management duties, including hiring, firing, performance reviews, job requirements, interviewing, staffing, assignments, and growth opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate software solution expectations to internal customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Propose, design and implement scalable, sustainable, cost‑effective solutions that meet internal and external customers’ objectives.
  • Engage with senior management, peers, and internal customers to plan and prioritize projects and resource allocation.
  • Proactively communicate status, issues, and escalations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work with external vendors to source, negotiate, and manage contract resources and solution services.

Qualifications

  • Solid software development experience, including leading engineering teams and delivering enterprise applications.
  • Strong technical background in software architecture, application design, and cloud‑native development.
  • Hands‑on experience with .NET/C#, JavaScript, Python, REST APIs, microservices, SQL Server, Snowflake, and search technologies (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Solr).
  • Experience building and operating applications in AWS or other cloud environments.
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, Generative AI, and AI‑powered application development; familiarity with RAG architectures, vector databases, and AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead Agile software delivery, balancing technical excellence, business priorities, and customer needs.
  • Experience driving architecture, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to build high‑performing teams and influence technical direction across engineering and business partners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and executive levels.

Commission: No

Minimum Salary: 300,000

Maximum Salary: 360,000
