Presales Engineer
NeuralTrust
Job Description
We're looking for a Sales Engineer who lives in the technical detail. You'll be the person who turns interest into conviction: building and running demos, standing up proofs of concept in customer environments, and answering the hard questions from security architects and engineers. You'll work hand in hand with Account Executives — they own the commercial relationship, you own the technical win.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who genuinely enjoys getting into the weeds: configuring the product, scripting a red‑team scenario, debugging an integration, and showing a CISO's team exactly how NeuralTrust behaves against real threats.
What You’ll Do
- Own the technical win in every deal: design and deliver tailored product demos that map directly to each customer's architecture and risk profile.
- Scope, build, and run proofs of concept (POCs) in customer environments — from setup and integration through to demonstrating measurable outcomes.
- Get hands‑on with the platform daily: configure TrustGate (agent gateway), set up runtime detection and posture management, and design red‑teaming scenarios that show real attacks being caught.
- Serve as the technical authority in customer conversations, fielding deep questions on AI/LLM security, prompt injection, agent behavior, integrations, and deployment models (SaaS, on‑prem, hybrid).
- Partner with Account Executives to shape technical sales strategy, handle objections, and move deals forward.
- Translate customer requirements and feedback into clear input for Product and Engineering, acting as a bridge between the field and the roadmap.
- Build reusable demo environments, technical collateral, and POC playbooks that make the whole SE function faster and more consistent as we scale.
What We’re Looking For
(ordered by what matters most for this hire)
- Hands‑on technical depth first and foremost. 4–7 years in presales / sales engineering / solutions engineering, with a genuine track record of building demos and running POCs yourself — not just presenting slides. You're comfortable in a terminal, with APIs, and with standing up integrations.
- Security expertise. Solid grounding in cybersecurity concepts — application security, network/zero‑trust, threat detection, or similar. Familiarity with AI/LLM security (prompt injection, jailbreaks, agent risks) is a strong plus; if you don't have it yet, you're clearly capable of getting there fast.
- Customer‑facing polish. You can hold a room of technical and non‑technical stakeholders, explain a complex product clearly, and build credibility with a skeptical security audience.
- Enterprise deal exposure. Experience supporting B2B/enterprise sales cycles and working alongside AEs. This matters, but we'll weight raw technical ability and curiosity above years of enterprise process.
- Excellent communication in English and Spanish; additional European languages a plus.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona, with occasional travel to customer sites.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLM/AI tooling, MCP, or agent frameworks.
- Background in a regulated industry (finance, aviation, energy, government) or selling to CISOs and security teams.
- Startup experience — comfortable building process where none exists and wearing several hats.
- Scripting or light development skills (Python or similar) for building demos and automating POCs.
Why Join NeuralTrust
- Work at the technical frontier of AI security, on a product where the demo genuinely wins the deal.
- Join early and shape how the Sales Engineering function is built, with clear room to grow into a senior or lead SE role.
- Sell to sophisticated enterprise buyers solving a problem that's becoming board‑level urgent.
- Competitive salary and equity, backed by top‑tier investors, in a fast‑scaling Barcelona‑based team.
