Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Tender Engineer to join our growing Global Services team. Reporting to our Global Services Pre‑Sales Leader, you will be responsible for the preparation of quotations and tender submissions covering the full range of our Critical Power Services activities. Examples include Critical Power, Cooling, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, various maintenance contracts, replacements, end‑of‑life disposals and an expanding range of Digital Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer RFQs, specifications and tender specifications for Service activities
  • Identify cost‑effective solutions to meet customer needs and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with local and international stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Interact with customers when required, leveraging your technical knowledge to provide solutions
  • Prepare tender documentation including quotations, technical compliance, risk assessments and approval documentation
  • Prepare costing sheets to show the cost and margin of offers, ensuring minimum margin levels are achieved, whilst respecting market price levels
  • Prepare quotations within agreed timeframes that define the technical solution proposed, whilst mitigating technical and commercial risks
  • Contribute to the business growth in accordance with company strategy and ambition
  • Utilise ERP systems to process purchase orders and handover won projects to execution teams
  • Domestic travel when required

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) combined with experience in a similar Tendering role and previous exposure to Data Centers or mission‑critical environments
  • Depth of hands‑on experience in tender management, preparing techno‑commercial offers and operating with a high level of rigour within an environment defined by set processes
  • Experience in the supply, installation and site testing of Critical Power and Cooling equipment and their associated systems
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical specifications, drawings, commercial conditions and contractual requirements
  • Natural ability to form and maintain close relationships with diverse stakeholder groups through well‑developed communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities at pace as you prepare to join a truly global organisation that continues to experience ongoing growth
  • Those with previous experience in Schneider Electrical products and solutions will be viewed favourably (UPS, Cooling and Substations)
