Expeditor/a Senior

In this role, you will participate in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project expediting operations. You will distribute workload, monitor assignments, evaluate production schedules and progress, and develop procedures. You will contact suppliers, initiate follow‑up, monitor quality, and prepare supplier evaluations.

Your planning and problem solving will ensure expediting operations meet project needs.

Major Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project expediting operations for small sized projects.
• Distribute workload to assigned project expeditors according to experience, ability, complexity, and urgency.
• Contact suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data and follow‑up on material acquisition, production progress, and shipment.
• Evaluate production schedules and progress reports from suppliers to determine if programs and work progress meet jobsite requirements.
• Coordinate with planning and scheduling, field material coordinators or jobsite project expeditors and construction to establish priorities, sequences, and required delivery dates, and instruct suppliers accordingly.
• Expedite Bechtel engineering for the timely review, approval, and return of engineering data submitted by suppliers.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑award meetings to review and discuss schedules and potential problem areas that may impact required shipment dates.
• Coordinate shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project Logistics representative.

Education and Experience Requirements

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Good communication.
• Being pro‑active.
• Meticulous.
• Able to work collaboratively with all required stakeholders.
• Prior experience in expediting using Digital Supply Chain will be helpful.
• Bilingual would also be helpful.
• Able to manage complex purchase orders with key suppliers.
