Located within the Capital Square precinct above Elizabeth Quay, our Sky Lounge offers breathtaking 360ยฐ views of Perth's city skyline and the Swan River, creating one of the city's most exciting dining destinations.
As we prepare for opening, we're looking for an experienced Venue Manager who shares our passion for exceptional hospitality and enjoys leading teams that create memorable guest experiences.
About the Role
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the restaurant and bar, ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance.
Youโll lead the team to deliver standout hospitality - maintaining high standards of service delivery, presentation, and guest satisfaction, while supporting ongoing success across the venue.
Key Responsibilities
Drive pre-opening readiness, including recruitment, training, SOP development, and all pre-opening preparations
Participate in service trials, menu tastings, and operational readiness activities.
Prepare and manage Food & Beverage team rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels across all meal periods and service times.
Ensure all Food & Beverage team members maintain current Food Handler and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certifications.
Support the setup of restaurant spaces, equipment, and service procedures
Ensure exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction at all times.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven team culture.
Support budgeting and financial performance targets for the Venue
Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, WHS, and regulatory requirements
Act as Manager on Duty as required and collaborate closely with other hotel leaders
The Successful Candidate Will Possess
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Venue Manager in a high-volume restaurant and bar environment (hotel or premium dining experience preferred)
- A strong commitment to exceptional guest service and guest satisfaction
- Sound understanding of restaurant service standards and hospitality operations
- Experience managing budgets and achieving financial performance targets
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop venue team members
- Experience managing teams, service flow and guest engagement
- Barista skills (ability to prepare quality coffee and beverages as required)
- Knowledge of Responsible Service of Alcohol and Food Safety requirements
- Inspect staff hygiene and grooming
- Experience using POS systems and restaurant management software (preferred)
- Approved Manager (LMP1) and Food Handler certificates
- Strong communication skills with a hands-on leadership approach
