Job Description
Overview
The role is a full-time position reporting to the Area Chief Radiographer, working Monday to Friday, between clinic hours of 8:30am - 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations, and recovering patients post-procedure.
- Assist in CT Coronary Angiograms, focusing on heart rate optimization, patient screening, and contrast preparation. Include pre-procedure screening, medication management, and post-scan recovery.
- Interventional procedures including spinal and pain management injections.
- Administer medication as required for the procedure or examination.
- Work collaboratively with Radiologists, technical and administrative staff, and managers.
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Prior experience working in a clinic or hospital environment desirable.
