Job Description

Overview

The role is a full-time position reporting to the Area Chief Radiographer, working Monday to Friday, between clinic hours of 8:30am - 5pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Radiologist for interventional procedures, including gaining informed consent and medical history assessment, monitoring baseline observations, and recovering patients post-procedure.
  • Assist in CT Coronary Angiograms, focusing on heart rate optimization, patient screening, and contrast preparation. Include pre-procedure screening, medication management, and post-scan recovery.
  • Interventional procedures including spinal and pain management injections.
  • Administer medication as required for the procedure or examination.
  • Work collaboratively with Radiologists, technical and administrative staff, and managers.

Qualifications

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Prior experience working in a clinic or hospital environment desirable.
