Truck Driver (5 positions)

Location: 6 Dampier Road, Welshpool - WA 6106

Salary: $80,000 plus 12% superannuation

Position: Full time, permanent

Our client, SUPAGAS Pty Ltd, is one of Australia's leading suppliers of LPG, industrial, medical, specialty and hospitality gases. Supagas offers fast and reliable delivery services across Australia. The role requires experienced and safety-focused truck drivers to deliver LPG cylinders and gas products while maintaining high standards of safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver LPG cylinders, bulk gases and gas tanker loads to residential, commercial and industrial customers in accordance with delivery schedules and Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Load, unload and secure cylinders and other products in accordance with transport regulations and load restraint requirements.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical faults or safety issues.
  • Complete delivery documentation, manifests and handheld-device transactions accurately.
  • Collect empty cylinders and process returns in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations, road transport legislation and company safety policies.
  • Promote Supagas' "YES WE CAN" customer-service philosophy while representing the company professionally.
  • Monitor cylinder compliance dates and identify damaged or faulty cylinders requiring testing or quarantine.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards for vehicles, equipment and work areas.
  • Communicate delivery issues, customer concerns and operational matters promptly to the logistics team.
  • Support efficient asset utilisation and assist in maintaining the security of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Build positive customer relationships and identify opportunities to promote Supagas products and services.
  • Participate in workplace safety initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Appropriate Heavy Rigid (HR) or higher-class driver's licence.
  • Minimum one year experience operating heavy vehicles in a logistics, transport or distribution environment.
  • Experience transporting dangerous goods or gas cylinders will be highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of load restraint requirements and road transport regulations.
  • Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
