JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for residential and commercial painting projects. This role is critical in supporting business growth by evaluating project requirements, preparing proposals, and contributing to the successful acquisition of new projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Estimating and Cost Preparation

Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for residential and commercial painting projects

Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to determine project requirements

Conduct site visits when required to assess project conditions, surface preparation needs, materials, and labor requirements

Calculate material quantities, labor hours, equipment needs, and project timelines

Develop detailed cost breakdowns and scopes of work

Bidding and Tender Support

Prepare and submit bid proposals, quotations, and tender documents (RFQs, RFPs, and ITTs)

Review tender requirements, deadlines, and compliance criteria

Coordinate supporting documentation such as insurance certificates, company profiles, and pricing schedules

Maintain accurate records of submitted bids, pricing history, and project data

Assist in negotiating pricing and scope clarification with clients when required

Project Coordination and Support

Support project handoff to operations team after project award

Assist in tracking project costs versus estimated costs

Maintain estimating databases and cost tracking systems

Contribute to improving estimating accuracy and efficiency

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Estimator in painting, construction, or a related industry

Experience preparing estimates for residential and commercial projects

Ability to read drawings, specifications, and project documents

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
