Job Description: Senior Clinical Manager (Bayshore Health) Responsibilities Supervise and support Clinical Managers to ensure compliance with federal and provincial legislated standards, company policies and procedures. Oversee and assist Clinical Managers with the integration of patient satisfaction initiatives; ensure that all referred patient concerns and complaints are satisfactorily addressed and documented in a timely manner. Liaise with hospitals, funders or government programs as required.
Liaise with provincial regulatory bodies as required. Oversee and assist with human resources responsibilities, including recruitment and selection, orientation and training, discipline and the probationary/annual performance of field staff. Lead and assist with the implementation of Modified Work Programs for Clinical Managers.
Interpret and implement relevant policies and procedures related to the Community Bundled Care Programs. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure programs comply with Occupational Health and Safety Standards, including active joint health and safety committees, monthly inspections and incident reporting. Ensure that programs and staff comply with Public Health standards, Ministry of Health directives and Bayshore policies related to Infection Prevention and Control.
Partner with Clinical Managers to ensure programs meet Key Performance Indicators. Ensure that cost of bundles is within acceptable levels, responsible for ensuring overall program costs meet Bayshore guidelines. Ensure that Managers maintain relevant databases with patient and staff information and meet Bayshore Data Quality Standards.
Participate in business development and contractual agreements for client care and services as required. Participate in strategic planning and market analysis to achieve growth goals. Collaborate with Director, Community Partnerships and/or Director, Integrated Care Solutions on key and shared accounts.
Attend and participate in sales, operational or external meetings as requested. Cross‑train staff to cover absences, as needed. Promote Bayshore Integrated Care Solutions through participation in local healthcare or business committees and community events.
Serve as the on‑call manager as required and as the Clinical Manager as required. Participate in projects and champion new initiatives, assign resources, and implement clinical operations for any new Community Bundled Care Programs in Ontario. Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures. Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company’s Quality Management System. Participate proactively in Health & Safety activities while performing all duties.
Notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns. Complete Accident Reports for all direct reports who injure themselves on the job within 24 hours of the incident. Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information, discussing it only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal. Complete other tasks as requested. Qualifications Current license in good standing as a RPN, MSW, PT, or OT in the province of Ontario.
Graduate of an accredited and approved program. 10‑15 years of progressive experience in health care, preferably in home health care and hospital settings. Completed Continuing Education Requirements (CEUs) as required by regulation. Demonstrated record of building and maintaining referral relationships.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Canadian health care system, including OHIP, insurance and private pay. Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care best practices and infection prevention and control. Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Working knowledge of business office technologies: PC/laptop with Microsoft Office applications, smartphone, internet and email. Additional Requirements Dependent on provincial government regulations and the position, new hires may be required to provide proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID‑19, Hepatitis, seasonal flu and others.
