Job Description Overview We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support the continued growth of our Winnipeg office team. This role includes active participation in design and preparation of plans and specifications for steel, concrete, wood, masonry and more, across projects in Canada. The engineer collaborates with multi‑disciplinary teams, supports national project delivery, conducts studies, surveys, technical reports, and structural inspections, and oversees structural work during construction.
Responsibilities Design and prepare plans and specifications for structural work (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.). Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams on projects across Canada and support national project delivery. Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports, and structural inspections.
Supervise construction of structural work and provide on‑site support. Ensure engineering work meets industry quality standards and complies with the National Building Code and applicable provincial building codes. Coordinate structural design projects with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
Maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships. Develop and mentor junior staff through coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback. Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition and technical input, working closely with project managers and business development teams.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an asset. Registered Professional Engineer (P.
Eng) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. 5‑10 years of related experience in a similar role. Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.). Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
