Job Description

Do you enjoy it when the shop floor and solid method come together, when a confusing work instruction becomes explicit and a line starts running better because of you? Why this role will catch your attention Youre joining a solid manufacturer, well established across North America, in an essential sector with steady, lasting demand. This is a pivotal role where operational excellence is an actual mission, not a poster on the wall.

Youll bridge corporate standards and the reality of the local floor, with real room to move things forward. For someone who wants to leave a measurable mark on a plants performance, thats a rare playground. What your days look like Validate work instructions with operators, run a waste‑reduction workshop with a supervisor in the morning, dig into production data in the afternoon, then head out to fix a process irritant right on the floor.

Work hand in hand with Production, Maintenance and Quality, and quickly become the person people turn to when a process gets stuck. Adapt corporate standards to the sites real equipment and processes, so documentation fits the floor and holds up in an audit. Deploy OpEx best practices (5S, PDCA, RCA, visual performance management) and lead the Kaizen workshops that cut waste.

Analyze production data to uncover inefficiencies and drive corrective actions all the way through. Write and maintain standardized work instructions, validating their accuracy directly with the people who run them. Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑reduction projects led with the industrial team.

Grow a culture of safety, quality and ownership through hands‑on coaching. The profile I’m looking for What you bring A university degree in mechanical, industrial or electrical engineering (or solid equivalent technical experience). 3 to 5 years in industrial or manufacturing engineering, project management included. Real command of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement methods (Kaizen, 5 Whys, FMEA).

Experience writing and rolling out standardized work instructions, and reading technical drawings and specs. Comfort with a CMMS (INTERAL or equivalent), the Office suite and CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent). English is required for this site (corporate communication); French is your everyday language on the floor.

What will make you succeed here Youre as comfortable on the floor as in the data: you go to the source for answers. You bring operators and supervisors on board through teaching and example, not by forcing it. Youre detail‑driven and keep your records clean (versions, compliance, audits).

Youre proactive and results‑oriented: you finish what you start, and you measure it. What you get Salary from $100,000 per year. Annual bonus.

Complete group insurance (medical, dental, vision). Retirement plan with employer contribution. Free on‑site parking and a cafeteria with discounted meals.

A stimulating industrial setting, a supportive team and a mandate where your impact shows. One practical note This is an on‑site role, so ideally you live within reasonable distance of the South Shore or are open to relocating closer.
