The role of the Real Estate Manager will be: To negotiate all business terms for real estate transactions including offer to lease, amendments, retail leases and renewals for the company’s various brands. To research, gather information including market intelligence on new sites and areas of development for the company’s various brands.

Must be knowledgeable with national and regional landlords for street front, office, enclosed malls, and outdoor shopping centre locations. Maintain and develop relationships with the landlord community. Professionally represent MTY by attending various industry, landlord and leasing events Negotiate relocations, closures, rent reductions and/or expansion of existing units Planification of strategic brand expansion while coordinating with different Band Managers Set and attain yearly objectives for brand expansion Coordinate and maintain relationships with MTY’s brokers, consultants, and different Brand Leaders Responsible for the coordination of all leasing documentation with the Legal department for proper execution Responsible for the coordination with the Franchising Team for different brands to ensure proper execution of appropriate documentation Coordinate with the construction team to resolve issues relating to construction delays, lease possessions and commencement dates Ability to travel from time to time for the realization of the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities Key Skills Required Organization and planning Time management Effective Communication skills Self motivated Negotiations Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business requirements in a team environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Qualifications The successful candidate will preferably have at least 3 years of commercial real estate experience Post-secondary level or equivalent experience.
