Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering is a leading‑edge product development team that creates enterprise compute and storage server designs for innovative web service and e-commerce technology platforms. We are seeking experienced Thermal/Mechanical Engineers to build the next generation of our cloud platforms. Responsibilities Design the thermal and mechanical systems for server platforms, including cooling and mechanical technologies.
Lead the application of new technology to large‑scale server deployments to deliver world‑class customer experience. Validate systems and subsystems to meet program objectives through modelling, analysis and testing. Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams (hardware and software) to develop integrated solutions.
Conduct failure analysis and solution validation for product development and fleet systems. Manage interaction with overseas resources and provide mentorship to mechanical/thermal design engineers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 4+ years experience in thermal and mechanical design of server technologies.
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Experience with the project management of technical projects. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience with the project management of technical projects. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: 136,000 USD – 184,000 USD annually (USA, WA, Seattle). Package includes sign‑on payments, RSUs and comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off and parental leave.
