Engineer - Controls Engineering

Maintenance Engineer Pertemps are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on a 3-month fixed-term contract. Pay Rate: £20 per hour We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious engineer with mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience to support the operation and maintenance of renewable energy equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant running of plant operations, helping to convert organic food waste into clean energy.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical and PLC systems Maintain and support specialist equipment, including CHP units, Grid Entry Units and biogas compressors Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety and environmental procedures Monitor operational performance, recording data relating to gas quality, temperature control and feedstock management Participate in on-call rota duties and remote monitoring activities when required Qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or able to demonstrate equivalent engineering experience Proven maintenance engineering experience within an industrial, process, manufacturing or similar environment Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental practices Flexible and willing to work across a range of shift patterns to support operational requirements Full UK driving licence COTC, IOSH, NEBOSH, confined space, working at height, first aid or banksman training The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment and carrying out physical engineering duties where required.
