Plant Engineer (Winnipeg)

Schedule: 4 days a week – 35 hours a week (within the 4 days) – potential for overtime. Job ID: 25- Number of Vacancies: 1 Level: MP3 Duration: 6 Months Hours of work: 35 Hours per week Location: Hwy , Atikokan, ON, P0T 1C0 Work Mode: (% onsite) Hourly Rate: $70-$75 Job Overview Perform maintenance support for the Atikokan mechanical maintenance crew. Perform project support for mechanical projects at the Atikokan station, including project initiation reports, technical specifications and technical assistance as needed.

Perform asset management activities for the Atikokan station including life extension for equipment. Provide support for the Operations group at the Atikokan station, including writing procedures and advising on the operation of various equipment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Minimum four years’ experience in the manufacturing or power plant operations. Prefer experience in thermal power plants. Familiarity with relevant Canadian Codes and standards including TSSA Regulations.

Worker should have experience at a Power Plant at the Engineering Level as well as their P.Eng.
