What you will do The IT Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for the planning, execution, and governance of all technology projects and IT operations across the organization.
This position plays a critical role in driving digital transformation through structured project delivery, ensuring that technology initiatives are aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities. The IT Manager leads the delivery of enterprise system implementations, automation initiatives, and data-driven solutions. This includes oversight of ERP systems, integrations, analytics platforms, and emerging technologies that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
The role requires a strong focus on project management discipline, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business outcomes. Acting as the primary interface between business units, regulatory stakeholders, and technology providers, the IT Manager ensures that IT investments are effectively translated into impactful, sustainable solutions. This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with a combination of office and remote work.
Occasional after‑hours support may be required to support project deployments or critical system events, and periodic travel to operational sites as necessary. The IT Manager reports directly to the President and has the IT Coordinator as a direct report. Project Management & Delivery Lead the full lifecycle of IT projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, including risk management, issue tracking, and change control processes. Manage a portfolio of concurrent IT initiatives, prioritizing based on business impact and resource availability.
Provide structured reporting to leadership on project status, milestones, risks, and outcomes. Ensure successful delivery of projects within defined timelines, budgets, and performance expectations. Develop and maintain a multi-year IT roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and operational needs.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable programs and projects. Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including system modernization and platform upgrades. Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate them into project planning where appropriate.
Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of ERP and enterprise systems. Lead ERP-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and workflow optimization. Ensure systems support operational efficiency, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Standardize processes across departments to improve consistency and reduce manual work. Automation & Process Improvement Identify and prioritize opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes. Lead implementation of automation tools, system integrations, and digital workflows.
Collaborate with business units to redesign processes with a focus on scalability and consistency. Track and report on project outcomes, including productivity improvements and cost savings. IT Operations & Service Delivery Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring system performance, reliability, and availability.
Manage IT support functions, including incident management and service delivery processes. Ensure smooth transition of completed projects into operational support environments. Optimize IT resources to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions.
Ensure IT systems and processes align with applicable regulatory and data protection requirements. Integrate compliance considerations into project planning and execution. Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and controls.
Identify and mitigate risks related to system performance, cybersecurity, and data integrity. Support audit readiness through proper system documentation and data governance practices. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management Engage stakeholders to define project requirements, priorities, and success criteria.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Lead change management efforts, including user training, adoption strategies, and communications. Ensure alignment between IT initiatives and business needs across departments.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and consultants. Oversee procurement, implementation, and lifecycle management of IT systems and services. Monitor vendor performance and ensure delivery aligns with contractual expectations.
Allocate internal and external resources to support project delivery and operations. Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to IT staff and project teams. Establish standards, tools, and best practices for project management and IT service delivery.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support professional development and capability building within the IT function. What you will need Education & Experience Postsecondary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with a strong focus on project or program management. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes Strong understanding of enterprise systems, system integration, and data management. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
