A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HV Commissioning Engineer to join a major transmission infrastructure programme, initially supporting SSEN projects before moving onto SPEN frameworks. The Opportunity ?? Manchester ?? 12-Month Contract + Extensions ?? £750-£850 per day (Outside IR35, All-In) ??
Immediate Start Available ? Monday-Friday (10-hour days, early finish Fridays) + optional weekend work Key Responsibilities Lead commissioning activities on HV/EHV substations (132kV-400kV) Carry out protection, control and SCADA testing Develop commissioning procedures and test documentation Support energisation, handover and project delivery Ensure compliance with SSEN/SPEN safety standards Requirements ? SSEN or SPEN Authorisation ?
SSE Cat 1 & Cat 3 Authorisation ? Proven HV/EHV substation commissioning experience ? Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems and SCADA ?
